Our Mission
There are two layers behind AstroYouth's mission.

Firstly, many barriers prevent young people from exploring astronomy. Heavy light pollution, urban living, limited exposure to astronomy in schools, and equipment that can cost thousands of dollars can make the universe feel out of reach.

AstroYouth's mission is to break those barriers! Through our recurring Community Astronomy Sessions held every Saturday night from 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM (taking into accound cloudy nights), we provide curious young people in Singapore with access to equipment, mentorship, and a welcoming community to support their individual astronomy journeys.

Beyond accessibility, AstroYouth is pioneering a community-driven approach to astrophotography. While it has traditionally been an individual hobby, we believe it can also bring people together. By turning astrophotography into a shared experience, we hope to cultivate a thriving community of young astronomers.

Ultimately, AstroYouth hopes to make the universe feel within reach for teenagers.
